Poker is a common sport being played all around the world. It is crucial to remember which combination will bring victory to you no matter whether you are playing at a land-based casino or at a live casino in Malaysia. Always remember these top 5 ranks in poker hands to make sure your strategies does not go to waste.

Five of a kind (Rank 1)poker

Five of a kind is when you have 5 cards of the same symbol. As such when you have all 5 spade cards in your hands, meaning that you have a five of a kind. The rank is considered according to the number of five of a kind you have. An example is that you have 3 numbers for a five of a kind, you can be beaten by a 5 numbers of a five of a kind. The list goes on until Ace but it is only possible to have Ace five of a kind if there is a joke card included.

Straight flush (Rank 2)

A straight flush is a hand that contains five cards of the same symbol and in a descending or ascending order such as K,Q,J,10,9 hearts. It ranks second in the poker holding hands. It also ranks according to the symbol as Spade, Hearts, Clover and Diamond. You also need to have a straight number as in ascending or descending order to have a straight and all must be from the same symbol.

Four of a kind (Rank 3)

Four of a kind is the poker hand that holds four cards of one symbol and one card of another symbol. An example is you have 4 clovers and 1 spade, meaning that you have four of a kind 4 clover which is the lowest rank for a four of a kind. It does not matter what number the different symbol is, the power of four of a kind is determined by what number is the 4 kind.

Full house (Rank 4)

A full house or also called a full hand, is a hand that contains 3 cards of a kind and a pair from another symbol. Meaning that to get a full house, you need 3 cards of 9 clover and 2 cards of queen spade. The determination of power is according to the triple cards, not the pair. Meaning a full house of 4 spades is higher than a full house of 9 diamonds. 

Flush (Rank 5)

A flush is a hand that contains 5 cards from the same symbol regardless of number. Simple enough is that you have all 5 numbers of the same symbol without taking concern of the sequence. As such, K,7,6,4,3 spade, and you have a spade flush. The power of the flush is according to the highest in the flush. Meaning that a flush of K of spade symbol will beat anything below it.
